DONATE & SUPPORT
LEAPS is entirely dependent on donations and fundraisers as we receive no funding from the South African Government.
You can help the paw by donating via the available donation channels or by supporting our fundraising events.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to provide a better life for animals in need by ensuring they have a safe, healthy and loving home. We strive to support and empower pet owners, educate the community on responsible pet ownership and provide high-quality care and shelter to animals in need. Our ultimate goal is to create a world where every animal has a loving family that cherishes them and treats them with the care and respect they deserve.
DONATE
As an organization, we rely solely on the generosity of our supporters to carry out our mission. We do not receive any financial support from the South African government, either at the local or central level. Therefore, every single donation we receive, regardless of its size, is crucial to our ability to make a positive impact in the communities we serve.
Whether it's a one-time donation or a recurring contribution, each gift helps us to provide essential services and support to those in need. We are deeply grateful to all of our donors for their kindness and generosity, and we remain committed to using their contributions to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
LEAPS is registered in terms of Section 18A of the Income Tax Act - your donation is tax deductible. Contact info@leaps.co.za for your 18A tax certificate.

LEAPS EVENTS
Attending fundraising events is a great way to support LEAPS. These events are organised with the purpose of raising money and awareness. Attending fundraising events can be a fun and rewarding way to support LEAPS and make a difference in the lives of animals.
KIRSTENBOSCH CRAFT MARKET
Every last Sunday of the month from October to May, we hosts adoption days at the Kirstenbosch Craft Market. This is an opportunity for animal lovers to adopt a furry friend and give them a loving home.
LEAPS volunteers are on hand to provide information about the adoption process, and to answer any questions potential adopters may have. This initiative not only helps animals find homes, but it also creates awareness about the importance of animal welfare in the community.
LAMBERTS BAY FARMERS MARKET
We also have a stand and adoption days at the Farmers Market at Malkoppan, South of Lamberts Bay, on the last Saturday of every month.
The LEAPS team is present to provide information about the adoption process, and to answer any questions potential adopters may have. This initiative not only helps animals find homes, but it also creates awareness about the importance of animal welfare in the community.
PADDLE FOR THE PAW
LEAPS - Paddle for the Paw is an annual fundraising event that aims to raise awareness and funds.
Paddle for the Paw attracts animal lovers from all over, and the funds raised from the event go towards supporting animal rescue, education, and advocacy programs. This event involves stand-up paddleboarding challenges in which participants navigate through a scenic course. It is a fun and engaging way to promote awareness and support for animal welfare, as well as an opportunity to bond with fellow animal lovers.
MADIBA DAY: PET FOOD DRIVE
Madiba Day is an annual event celebrated on July 18th to honor the legacy of Nelson Mandela.
One such event is the LEAPS Madiba Day Pet Food Drive, where the community comes together to collect and donate pet food. This drive not only helps provide food for animals in need but also raises awareness about the importance of responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
By participating in the Madiba Day Pet Food Drive, individuals can make a difference in the lives of animals in their community and honor the memory of Nelson Mandela, who was a passionate advocate for human and animal rights.
BINGO
LEAPS hosts an annual fun-filled Bingo night to raise funds for their animal protection initiatives.
The event promises to be an evening of entertainment, with exciting games and amazing prizes up for grabs. Participants can enjoy a fun evening while supporting a worthy cause. The proceeds from the event go towards LEAPS efforts to educate, rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in need.
So, come and join in the fun while contributing to a noble cause!
